I was inspired by the stillness and simplicity of open farmland, with its earthy tones of olive, ochre, and soft pinks that glow under the afternoon light. The small bursts of yellow and deep ochre bring the landscape to life, a reminder of wildflowers that persist even in dry, rugged terrain. It’s a celebration of those fleeting moments of beauty that appear in unexpected places.

As I painted, I wanted to evoke the feeling of standing alone in an open field where the air feels light, the land stretches endlessly, and time seems to slow. The horizon is kept simple and distant, suggesting both isolation and freedom. There’s something deeply grounding about this landscape, its rawness and honesty. It’s my way of expressing how nature holds both strength and grace a timeless, soothing presence that continues to inspire me.
