In Wetlands – Earth Magic, I wanted to capture that fleeting moment when sunlight breaks across the landscape and transforms an ordinary wetland into something extraordinary. Vibrant lime greens and golden yellows dance across the marsh, while earthy browns and soft blue skies create a sense of depth and tranquillity. My loose brushwork, layered textures, and expressive mark-making suggest grasses swaying in the breeze, shallow waterways glistening in the light, and the constant movement of life within this rich ecosystem.

What I love most about wetlands is their energy and abundance. The scattered birds soaring overhead and resting amongst the reeds bring a feeling of freedom and vitality, while the luminous colours celebrate the beauty of nature at its most alive. For me, this work is about the magic that exists in these wild places—the connection between earth, water, sky, and the creatures that call it home. It is a joyful, uplifting piece that invites the viewer to pause and appreciate the wonder hidden within the landscape.
