I’ve used loose, instinctive brushwork and spontaneous marks to suggest the dry landscape, scattered trees and distant forms, with a few playful birds adding a sense of movement. I love the contrast between the fiery earth and the cool sky, creating a work that feels both energetic and beautifully open. Despite its petite size, it has plenty of character and that unmistakable Carolyne Jane sense of Australian landscape and place.
