I love the warmth and energy of the Australian Outback, and in Outback Tangerine, I’ve explored the rich, earthy colours and incredible light that make this landscape so captivating. Layers of burnt orange, ochre, golden yellow and vibrant tangerine flow across the canvas, contrasted by a soft blue sky. I’ve used loose, expressive brushwork and spontaneous marks to capture the feeling of this vast, sun-drenched country, where the colours seem to glow against the open horizon.

For me, this painting is all about the raw beauty and spirit of the Outback. I love the way the textures, scribbles and gestural marks bring a sense of movement and life to the landscape, while the warm colours create a feeling of warmth and connection to the land. Outback Tangerine is a celebration of the Australian landscape in all its rugged beauty, with a vibrant palette that brings warmth, character and a little piece of the Outback into your home.
