Outback Bandwidth is my interpretation of the vast, layered beauty of the Australian outback. I wanted to capture that sense of endless space, where deep earthy reds, burnt umbers, and olive tones stretch across the land beneath a soft, quiet sky. The horizontal bands anchor the landscape, giving it a grounded stillness, while still reflecting the warmth and weathered character of the country I love to paint.

Across these bands, I’ve added my signature marks—small flecks of yellow, white, rust, and grey that feel like scrub, flashes of light, or moments carried by the wind. These little gestures break up the structure and bring movement into the scene, offering glimpses of the life and texture that exist within the vastness.

For me, this work holds a balance between simplicity and complexity. The broad shapes tell the story of the land’s strength, while the smaller, intuitive details invite you to come closer and feel the subtle rhythms of the outback. It’s my way of honouring both the sweeping scale and the quiet intricacies that make this landscape so captivating.
