In Wetlands Wilderness, I explore the untamed beauty of Australia’s wetlands through a vibrant interplay of colour, texture and expressive mark-making. Rich ochres, earthy browns and luminous greens sweep across the canvas, evoking the wild grasses, fertile wetlands and sun-drenched landscapes that inspire my work. The soft, atmospheric sky creates a sense of openness and space, while the flashes of golden yellow bring warmth and energy to the landscape, suggesting sunlight dancing across the earth.

I love the freedom and spontaneity that emerge through my abstract approach, allowing the landscape to unfold through instinctive brushstrokes, layered textures and unexpected marks. The small birds scattered across the horizon add a sense of movement and life, reminding me of the delicate balance between stillness and vitality in these natural environments. Wetlands Wilderness is my celebration of the raw, organic beauty of the Australian landscape, a place where nature remains powerful, unpredictable and wonderfully free.
