love the sense of movement and atmosphere in this beachscape. I’ve drawn on the everchanging energy of the Australian coastline, layering soft blues, turquoise and sandy tones to capture the meeting point between sea, sky and shore. The darker, expressive marks suggest rocks and rugged coastal edges, while the flashes of light and colour bring a feeling of sunlight dancing across the water.

For me, this work is about that beautiful feeling of standing at the beach and simply taking in the vastness of the ocean, the shifting light and the freedom of the open horizon. I’ve kept the composition loose and intuitive, allowing the brushwork and spontaneous mark-making to become part of the landscape itself. It’s a piece that feels both peaceful and alive, capturing the raw, untamed beauty of the Australian coast.
