Coastal Beauty is inspired by the relaxed, sun-washed beaches of Port Douglas, where the shoreline feels open, warm, and quietly alive. The soft blue water stretches across the canvas, meeting a pale sky that holds light and air, while the horizon sits gently in the distance. I wanted the sea to feel calm but present, carrying that slow, easy rhythm you experience walking along the beach.

The sandy foreground is built with warm coral, peach, and earthy tones, layered with loose marks and scribbles that echo footprints, grasses, and the movement of wind across the shore. On one edge, touches of vibrant green hint at coastal vegetation and mangroves pushing in from the side, grounding the scene and adding energy. This work is about that simple, familiar moment at Port Douglas, sea, sand, light, and space.
