Beachside – The Powerful Sea is a wonderful addition to my much loved Beachside series, capturing the raw energy and emotional pull of the ocean. With sweeping brushstrokes of teal, turquoise, and marine blue, this piece evokes the vast, untamed power of the sea. The movement in the water is palpable, swirling and surging as it ebbs with the tidal pull while my signature scribbles dance across the canvas giving the piece both structure and spontaneity.

In contrast to the dramatic sea, the sandy shore offers a vivid interplay of warm apricot sands and vibrant ochres and browns, suggesting strewn seaweed and coastal flora clinging to the shoreline. These expressive marks make the work feel both grounded and wild, as if the land is holding its breath beneath the gaze of the vast ocean. The piece is not just a seascape, it’s a sensory experience.
