Beachside Desire came from my love of being near the ocean and that gentle pull it always seems to have on me. I wanted this piece to feel open and calming, with a big stretch of sea and sky that invites you to pause for a moment. The soft blues and deeper teal tones move across the canvas like slow, rolling waves, capturing that peaceful rhythm you feel when you stand at the water’s edge.

I kept my brushstrokes loose and intuitive, letting the paint flow naturally as the work evolved. Small touches of warm ochres, yellows, and earthy reds hint at rocks and shoreline details, adding little moments of interest and contrast against the cool blues of the sea. These subtle pops of colour help bring warmth and balance to the overall feel of the painting.
